I regret to inform you that this is now, indeed, a historical document. [he shakes the journal lightly, pushing himself to his feet.] And I will treat it with the respect it deserves. I'll be out in a bit.

[he doesn't want to read it in front of her, because he's worried about schooling his own reactions - especially when it comes to finding out the source of the burns.]

[She rolls her eye, shaking her head at him as he leaves. Now what does she do while he's doing that?

She ends up laying on the couch, legs hanging off with a book in hand. By whatever time he comes back out, her eye has long glazed over at the words on the page. They aren't even words anymore, just ink. She's hardly reading, just staring and waiting for the inevitable. Even with everything she wrote in the journal, there's still what happened after to explain. She is not looking forward to it.]
